Now you can search for your dream home – from home or out and about. Denmark’s biggest real estate portal, Boligsiden.dk, now offers a mobile solution that allows you to see any of 72,000 homes for sale on your mobile. It couldn’t be easier.

Boligsiden.dk has developed the new solution in collaboration with Unwire. “We decided to simplify the search function for Boligsiden’s mobile solution, because user feedback told us that accessibility and a rapid response are paramount when searching on a mobile phone,” explains Boligsiden.dk’s chief executive Søren Lægaard.

Type of home, price and location

The mobile portal has been simplified in relation to the Internet portal. The displayed result has to be simple if it is to fit the screen of a mobile phone. The search criteria are also simple, based on the search criteria most frequently used by Boligsiden’s users: type of home, price and location.

Søren Lægaard explains: “When you’ve done one search you can reuse your search criteria the next time you check for updates or to see whether the price of a specific property has fallen. The search result appears on your phone in a matter of seconds.” What is more, Søren Lægaard promises that the new solution will be updated to add new features.

“Initially, we will concentrate on encouraging more users of Boligsiden.dk to acquaint themselves with the mobile solution, which works on all mobile phones with Internet access. It came as a bit of a surprise to us that iPhone users dominate among the portal’s current user base. More than half the people who access the mobile portal today do so on an iPhone, and another  10% or so do so using some other kind of smartphone,” Mr Lægaard says. “And I don’t think iPhone owners search for properties more often than others in the market.”

Remember to market the solution

Søren Lægaard of Boligsiden.dk notes that the number of visitors to the mobile boligsiden.dk is increasing week by week. “With so many properties gathered in one place we know that we are getting a lot of visitors. We have recently added “send to mobile” to our Internet portal, which has resulted in a visible growth in the number of visits via mobile phone. The mobile solution has to be easy to use – and it certainly is!”
