LD Equity joins Unwire as co-owner

The Danish capital fond LD Equity takes over the majority of shares in Unwire, which is one of the leading suppliers of mobile platforms on the Scandinavian market. The aim is to strengthen the continued international commitment of the company.

Unwire – a leading Scandinavian supplier of mobile platforms – informs that the Danish capital fond LD Equity becomes co-owner of the company. Unwire delivers mobile platforms to among other the telecommunications companies, media houses, financial institutions as well as a large number of Scandinavian companies and thus makes it possible to i.e. host sms votes on TV and radio as well as TV on the mobile phone.

“LD Equity is a particular attractive co-owner which contributes with growth capital but also via its extensive network attracts the right people for management and board. Since its establishment in 1999, Unwire has experienced growth in Scandinavia and today the company has more than 70 employees in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Ukraine. The growth rates in Scandinavia are expected to increase in the years to come and at the same time there is a huge market potential outside Scandinavia. With LD Equity as co-owner, Unwire is able to strengthen its position on its home markets and gear the organization for a committed international commitment”, Unwire Founder Jacob Aisen says.

“Unwire is a bright example of how a strong team of employees in a few years can create a valuable company with a three digit million turnover and sound earnings. The company has a large potential and can become one of the most important companies within the market for mobile platforms also outside Scandinavia. With the right strategy together with further investments in products and organization, we believe in a high and profitable growth for a long time to come”, LD Equity partner Jan Hove Sørensen says.

As part of the preparations for the international commitment, Unwire has hired Peter Bredgaard former manager with Telia as new CEO. This means that the management consists of Peter Bredgaard, Ivan Sandquist, director and Jacob Eisen, director.

“I am deeply impressed with the position Unwire has achieved in Scandinavia through a sound business concept and a committed management and employees. Based on my knowledge of Unwire, it was an easy decision to accept a very exciting job as CEO of the company. I am convinced that together we can get the outmost of the potential of Unwire”, Peter Bredgaard says.

Unwire has in recent years won a number of prizes, including the E-commerce Award for best B2B solutions and the company has today the strongest product portfolio on the market.
