Norstedts, Sweden's oldest publisher, now aspires to become the most modern. Users of the internet portal NorstedtsOrd can already translate words to and from English, French, German and Spanish. Now, the publisher has launched a mobile portal, which initially offers free translation to and from English.

Apart from delivering fast searches, online dictionaries need to be accessible to users anywhere, at any time. So the mobile portal was a perfectly natural choice in the publisher's strategy to provide Sweden's preferred reference work.

Publisher Peter Wilcke explains: "Right now we have a campaign running on the internet portal which allows free use of the dictionaries in all languages. Traffic on the internet portal is increasing and I am expecting that this will have a positive impact on the mobile portal."

Only natural to develop more online services
Peter Wilcke is extremely satisfied with his company's collaboration with Unwire in Sweden. "Unwire has done a really great job on the mobile portal. The planning phase proceeded entirely without problems, and I was amazed how quickly the portal was up and running. We shall now market the mobile portal more conspicuously to our users and we hope to learn much more about what our users expect of our online services."
