Fly with Unwire onboard

TDC Mobil has chosen Unwire to deliver the technique behind the most recent edition of the mobile portal Fly which has just been opened. Fly makes it easier to access the latest news, music, Play and sport. At the same time, Unwire notes that the market for mobile portals is growing fast.

The Danish company, Unwire, has rebuilt the large TDC mobile portal, Fly, making it ready for the future and easier to administer.

”Unwire’s mobile portal system is the most tested standard system and it is future-oriented as it is being used by a number of large companies. At the same time, the build-in editing system and CMS system are easy to work with for our employees”, TDC Mobil director Anders B. Christjansen says. He is impressed with how fast Unwire was able to implement the new mobile portal which was ready for use ahead of schedule. Unwire has specialised in delivering complete mobile solutions – from developing of mobile campaigns and mobile portals across integrated platforms to handling of inter active television like the handling of payments related to mobile services. Unwire’s portal system is already being used by some of the largest media companies, financial institutions and transport companies in Scandinavia.

New live television on new mobile phones
With regards to the TDC customers, the new Fly solution is much faster and more manageable than previously. It has among other things become easier to watch live television, find news and download music via Play and download games. It is the Unwire solution which streams the television signal to a large number of formats enabling live television on 3G mobile phones. Unwire has also developed the access control, the user interface as well as the method of payment for Fly.

”Together with TDC Mobil’s experienced mobile portal employees, we have also developed the new design of Fly enabling the users to move around the mobile portal more freely. E.g., it is much easier to choose the news you prefer”, Unwire CEO Peter Bredgaard says. Besides TDC, Unwire has delivered mobile portal solutions to e.g. TV2, DR, Movia, Ekstra Bladet, Børsen, Coca-Cola, Egmont, Diners Club and Nordea. By all means, Unwire notices that the market for mobile portals is growing:
